This 90 minute elective module dives in deeper to the topic of meditation and explores how to teach mindfulness, relaxation and meditation in a chair yoga setting in a way that feels safe, accessible and meaningful for your students. You will learn the difference between mindfulness, relaxation and meditation, how they relate to yoga, and how to guide practices that support awareness, rest and connection.
We take a look at a range of techniques, along with how to adapt them for different students and situations. There is also a strong focus on creating a supportive environment, using appropriate language and pacing, and understanding that meditation is not a one size fits all practice.
By the end of this module, you will understand about offering mindfulness, meditation and relaxation as part of your classes, helping your students to settle, reconnect and experience a sense of ease and inner peace.
