Module 6 - Teaching Pranayama in Chair Yoga - 90mins

1.5 credits

This 90 minute elective module explores how to teach pranayama and bring simple, effective pranayama practices into your chair yoga classes. We covered the basics in the foundations module and now we will dive a little deeper into this 4th limb of Yoga. You will learn what pranayama is, how the breath and energy works within the body, and how different breathing techniques can influence the nervous system, energy levels and overall wellbeing.

We cover a range of techniques, along with their benefits, precautions and when to use them, so you can teach with clarity and confidence. There is also a focus on how to guide these practices safely for different students, helping you use pranayama as a tool to support physical, mental and emotional balance in your classes.
