This module explores the importance of warming up and cooling down in a chair yoga class, and how these elements support a safe, effective and enjoyable experience for your students.
You will learn how to gently prepare the body for movement, gradually increase circulation and mobility, and help students transition in and out of practice with care. The module also covers how to guide a smooth and supportive cool down, allowing the body and nervous system to settle.
We look at practical ways to structure both the beginning and end of your classes, including simple, accessible movements and techniques that can be adapted for a wide range of students. And a practical class of warm ups and cool downs for the whole body.
By the end of this module, you will gain confidence in creating thoughtful class openings and closings that enhance the overall experience of your teaching.
