This elective module explores how to build strength and stability through chair yoga in a safe and supportive way. You’ll learn what strength and stability really mean, how they work together, and how they can change with ageing, injury or more sedentary lifestyles.
We look at how to use the chair as a tool to support balance, control and gradual progression, along with simple ways to incorporate resistance equipment & props, alignment and functional movement into your classes. There is a focus on helping students move with more ease and confidence, both on and off the chair.
By the end of this module, you’ll have a clear understanding of how to design classes that support strength, stability and everyday movement, helping your students feel steadier, stronger and more capable in their bodies.
